The Egyptian Space Agency announced that Egypt will launch 4 satellites in 2022.
The move is a step in Egypt’s plan to enter the field of space science, develop remote sensing and space studies with Egyptian hands and technologies, while furthering space studies in universities and encouraging young people to keep up with the international level.
The projects are in cooperation with Japan, Germany and China but the implementation and build are by Egyptian cadres.
One of them is a satellite for universities while others are for remote sensing purposes and are equipped with cameras to take picture in space.
The Agency also stated that Egypt is building an Assembly and Testing Center which should be ready in early 2022 as part of an international space city, set to be the biggest in the Arab world.
