Sawari Ventures annouces Wael Amin new partner

Sawari Ventures hopes to benefit from Mr. Amin's experience in nurturing IT startups.
Sawari Ventures announced that Mr. Wael Amin has joined the firm as a Partner, adding to the company's record in venture capital investing and the technology industry.
Sawari is a Cairo-based venture capital firm that invests in people turning visionary ideas into market-leading companies in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) their goal is to identify, serve, and provide capital for extraordinary entrepreneurs.
Mr. Amin's experience is a precious addition to Sawari. Having co-founded ITWorx at the age of 18 and led its growth over a period of 20 years from start-up to one of the largest and most influential IT companies in the Middle East. ITWorx produced more than 200 entrepreneurs responsible for many Egyptian technology start-ups.

In his personal capacity, Mr. Amin is also a frequent contributor to the Egyptian start-up mentoring scene, being an Endeavor, Flat6Labs, Google Ebda2, Injaz, and Bedaya mentor and judge. He sits on the board of directors of ITIDA and EITESAL. He is a frequent lecturer on the transformational impact of technology and a guest lecturer at the AUC MBA program.

For Mr. Amin views joining Sawari Ventures is an extension to his established role in the ICT industry and nurturing great ideas.

Mr. Amin joins Sawari Ventures to help achieve the company’s plans to close its first fund, as well as provide further support to the company’s current and future portfolio companies through his network and experience.
