Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, recently announced its newly introduced 65” U9000 Curved Ultra High Definition, the world’s first curved (UHD) TV to consumers in Egypt.

“Given the tremendous media and industry interest for these new products, we are excited to bring our 65” Curved UHD TV to consumers in Egypt" said Seunghu-Yun, Managing Director of Samsung Egypt. “People who are passionate about entertainment will have an immersive experience enjoying the content they love with these exciting new models that showcase exceptional design and UHD picture quality.”

“Sharp picture quality and a curved screen reduce eye fatigue, because Curved UHD TVs have edges that stick out and wrap around you, creating a natural field of view. Viewers will notice a uniform viewing distance across all areas of the screen, allowing audiences to follow even fast-moving scenes without having to re-adjust the focus of their eyes” explained a very well-known professional Ophthalmologist, “for flat-panel TVs, the viewing distance between the viewer and the screen varies depending on what part of the TV screen is being viewed. In fact, the distance between your eyes and the screen is longer towards the edges than it is to the center – that’s why our eyes feel strained”
Samsung’s 65”U9000 Curved UHD TV is the world’s first and largest Curved UHD TV. The set features an expansive display, curved design and is the largest TV ever with a movie-theater aspect ratio of 21 x 9 to create a truly cinematic viewing experience at the comfort of a living room. From Full HD and HD sources to 4K content, everything looks better on this TV which boosts unmatched resolution. The combination of the screen size and Samsung’s Auto Depth Enhancer technology brings amazing depth to the picture and produces a life-like viewing experience. Samsung’s UHD TV is also equipped with another stunning feature, the UHD Up-scaling an image processing aspect that converts lower resolution content such as TV and Blue-ray discs to stunningly sharper images, which allows all types of movies and shows to be watched in more detail and clarity than ever before.

Samsung’s UHD TV is the only TV on the market that is future-ready thanks to the Samsung's UHD Evolution Kit which helps stay up to date with the latest UHD standards which in turn help customers protect their investment for many years to come. Samsung has chosen a simple design approach for the TV, with all the processing and connectivity moved to the One Connect Box, which has four HDMI ports, this One Connect Box essentially houses the brains of the TV externally, enabling customers to switch out the box with the latest versions. Samsung’s UHD TV also supports today’s standards including HEVC, HDMI 2.0, MHL 3.0 and HDCP 2.2.
