Egypt’s ministry of industry halts ceramics imports to boost local productivity

The decision aims to preserve the productivity rates of the Egyptian industry from any potential repercussions.

Egypt had invited tenders for a gold mining opportunity and is currently examines 11 offers by local and international companies.

Preserving Egypt’s industrial production and exports is a top priority during the Covid-19 crisis, according to experts at a recent seminar.

The initiative will benefit about 96,000 factories that meet the conditions for the initiative: says deputy governor of the CBE.

The first eight companies would sign an agreement on participation in the Russian industrial zone in Egypt on February 19.
