Critical Infrastructure Protection: Strategies to Enhance Security, Safety and Resilience.

Egypt, which is one of the most diversified economies in the MENA region, is set to witness a major transformation having adopted a wide-ranging,International Monetary Fund (IMF) supported, reform programme in 2016 aimed to reinvigorate the country’s economy.

The IMF expects economic growth in Egypt to reach 5.2 percent in 2018 and 5.5 percent in 2019, according to its new World Economic Outlook report. The report moreover forecasts growth to reach as much as 6 percent by 2023, reflecting the rise in domestic demand and the impact of recent economic reforms which are now harvesting their fruits. The main drivers include strong growth in real exports as competitiveness improves, as well as continued investment in Egypt across various sectors including tourism, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, oil and gas and energy.

As Egypt is rapidly moving towards a new era of economic growth, ensuring flawless security, safety and protection for its critical infrastructure, industries, facilities, tourism and businesses has taken a top spot in the agenda of the policy makers, government, public and private sectors. This includes a shift in addressing emergency, disaster management preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.

It is against this dynamic background that Messe Frankfurt Middle East, organisers of Intersec Exhibition – the world’s leading trade fair for safety, security and fire protection, is delighted to announce the launch of InfraSec Egypt.

The three day conference held on 17-19 September brings together safety, security and crisis management professionals representing government, regulatory authorities, law enforcement agencies, public and private sector organisations, and security solution providers.

Join us at InfraSec Egypt 2018 and be a part of the discussions that will analyse innovative approaches to enhance security and safety, and reduce vulnerabilities to critical national infrastructure and business across the country.
