Business News launches annual summit for automotive industry “Egypt Automotive”.
Business News is organising “Egypt Automotive”, the annual summit for the automotive sector in Egypt on 14 December under the auspices of Minister of Industry and Trade Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour and Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman.
The annual automotive industry summit will be held this year under the title “The Future and Investment Opportunities in the Automotive and Feeding Industries”.
Business News is launching the annual summit for investment in the automotive and feeding industries to discuss incentivising the sector and expand capacity for manufacturing, exporting, and creating jobs, and jumpstarting the market.
An elite group of heads of government authorities, automotive manufacturing companies, agents, companies operating in industries related to and feeding the automotive passenger car and truck sector, and retail officials with banks, automotive financing companies, and insurance companies.
The Automobile Market Information Council (AMIC) will present orientations of and expectations for automobile market growth, and sector contributions to investment and operation. The conference will focus on a number of influential issues in the automobile industry and investment and manufacturing orientations as well as the size of the market and sales growth in the coming period.
This also includes: the influence of international agreements on the future of industry in Egypt; the role of the consumer protection agency; balance between corporate and consumer interests; the feasibility of establishing a national council for the automotive industry; and the opportunities and challenges of the industry in attracting new investments as well as the influence of global markets.
The conference will adopt the concept of safe roads and their role in protecting citizens as well as reductions in road accidents and vehicle protection.
Due to its importance in the sector’s future, the inaugural session of the conference will be dedicated to discussing a strategy for the automobile industry in Egypt, and government plans to develop and encourage investment in the sector will be discussed in addition to the incentives required to increase local investment.
The role of feeding industries will also be addressed in terms of their capacity to increase employment and export rates and the problems faced by these industries in expanding. The impact of international conventions, particularly European partnership, on the future of the domestic automobile industry will also be taken up.
This session will also look at ways to increase awareness surrounding automobile insurance, and opportunities to add new facilities and keep pace with consumer purchasing power.
The summit will attempt to answer the question of how Egypt may be transformed into a regional centre for manufacturing and assembly and how to access Africa. Part of the answer to this question will be found by discussing legislation and mechanisms to reduce the spread of the black market.
The summit is being organized by Business News, a media company specialised in publishing, conference, training, and issuing financial and economic indicators. Business News organises the annual energy conference and investment conference in the health sector.
