Mobinil to release Q2 financials July 26th

Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Mobinil) announced that it will release financial statements for Q2-11 on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, after the close of the trading session on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).


Meanwhile, EFG-Hermes Holding expected Mobinil to see improved performance in Q2 versus Q1. Average revenue per user (ARPU) will likely rise 4% Q-o-Q, leading to an 8% increase quarter-over-quarter in wireless revenue.


The mobile phone operator’s subscriber additions will unlikely be impacted significantly by the boycotts called for in June, as they took place in the last week of the month. Net additions are expected to near 400 thousand clients; the lowest quarterly additions expected among the three mobile phone operators.


Mobinil’s consolidated EBITDA margin is expected to jump to 37%. Meanwhile, Q2 earnings are predicted to reach EGP 173 million, compared with EGP 23 million in Q1, Hermes said.
