Ministry of Finance issues 6 bn EGP in T-bills

The Ministry of Finance announced a 6 billion EGP (U.S. $1 billion) sale of treasury bills Thursday.

The ministry will sell 2.54 billion EGP (U.S. $424.8 million) worth of 182-day bills with an interest rate of 12.95 percent, and 3.5 billion EGP (U.S. $585 million) worth of 1-year bills with an interest rate of 13.6 perecent.
