Egypt's Alcotexa sells 125 tons of cotton in week
Egypt's Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) committed to sell 125 tonnes of cotton of the Giza 86 variety in the week that ended July 16, an Alcotexa official said on Sunday.
The last commitment for Alcotexa was on June 11.
Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2010/11 season, which began in September, are now 110,664 tonnes of cotton worth $455.73 million, the official told Reuters.
By this time last year, Alcotexa had sold 78,161 tonnes of cotton worth $186.93 million.
