Egyptian Stocks: Eastern, Ezz, GB Auto, National Co. for Maize

Eastern Co. (EAST) dropped 3.2 percent to 101.66 Egyptian pounds, the lowest level since May 29. Egypt’s monopoly cigarette maker said fiscal-year profit fell 26 percent to 631 million pounds ($106 million) from a year earlier.
Ezz Steel (ESRS) retreated 1.1 percent to 9.65 pounds, the lowest level in more than two months. Egypt’s stock exchange said on July 16 the country’s biggest producer of steel had to report consolidated and stand-alone results for 2010 and the first-quarter or face a trading suspension. Ezz has only reported 2010 stand-alone earnings since.
GB Auto (AUTO EY) lost 2.5 percent, the most in more than three weeks, to 31.1 pounds. The Middle East’s biggest independent car assembler was started with “underweight” and a price estimate of 24 Egyptian pounds at HSBC Holdings Plc.
