Egypt to Offer Cement Production Licenses in October, Mal Says

Egypt’s Industrial Development Authority will offer 12 licenses for cement production by the end of next month, Al Mal reported, citing Ismail el-Nagdy, the authority’s chairman.

The licenses will allow their each of their holders to produce 1.5 million tons annually and will only be awarded to companies not already operating in Egypt to increase competition in the local market, the newspaper cited el-Nagdy as saying.
