Egypt Stocks: Citadel Capital and El Sewedy Electric Co.

Citadel Capital SAE (CCAP EY) climbed as much as 3.1 percent and El Sewedy Electric Co. (SWDY EY) increased as much as 1.3 percent.

Egypt's benchmark EGX 30 Index retreated 1.3 percent, the most in three weeks, to 4,695.67 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo.

Citadel Capital SAE (CCAP EY) climbed as much as 3.1 percent before closing 0.2 percent higher at 4.2 Egyptian pounds, the highest level in four weeks. The Cairo-based private-equity firm said its unit African Railways Ltd. completed a $70 million capital increase.

El Sewedy Electric Co. (SWDY EY) increased as much as 1.3 percent before closing 0.7 percent higher at 29.36 pounds, the highest since Aug. 15. Today is the record date for a distribution tomorrow by the country's biggest publicly traded cables company of three free shares for every 10 held.
