Egypt had 42% less Persian Gulf tourists in June

Egypt received 42 percent less tourists from the Persian Gulf in June compared with a year- earlier, Ahram Online reported, citing Sami Mahmoud, head of the international department at the Tourism Development Authority.

Tourists were deterred from visiting because of concern about security, the state-run news website cited Mahmoud as saying.
