Egypt GASC Buys 240,000 Tons Of Wheat For Sept Delivery
CAIRO -(Dow Jones)- Egypt's state-owned wheat buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities, or GASC, Thursday said it bought a total of 240,000 metric tons of Russian and Romanian wheat.
Of the total, GASC bought 60,000 tons of Russian wheat from Louis Dreyfus at $261.94/ton, and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat from Cargill at $262.50/ton.
It also bought another 60,000 tons of Romanian wheat from Toepfer at $262.50/ton, and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat from Viterra Inc (VT.T) at $262.50/ton.
The wheat is for shipment Sept. 11-20.
The following bids were made by traders Thursday
1. Nidera 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $267.17/ton.
2. In-Vivo 60,000 tons of French wheat at $292.45/ton. One load port.
3. Glencore International PLC 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $268.90/ton.
4. Venus 60,000 tons of soft red winter wheat at $285/ton and 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $265/ton.
5. Lecureur 60,000 tons of French wheat at $291/ton. Two load ports.
6. Viterra 60,000 tons of French wheat at $289/ton. Two load ports, or 60,000 tons of German wheat at $304/ton, or 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $262.75/ton, or 60,000 of Canadian Eastern Soft Red Winter wheat at $289.00.
7. Soufflet 60,000 tons of French wheat at $291.45/ton. Two load ports.
8. LDC 60,000 tons of Russian wheat at $261.94/ton.
9. Toepfer 60,000 tons of Romanian wheat at $264.98/ton free on board.
10.Cargill 60,000 tons Russian wheat at $262.50/ton and 60,000 tons of Soft Red Winter wheat at $290.57/ton.
