EGX30 erodes early gains, drifts 0.09% lower by mid-trade
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 has trimmed early gains by today’s mid-session, retreating 0.09%, or 4.02 points to 4638.24 pts.
Foreign and national traders were net sellers of shares worth EGP 350.068 thousand and EGP 1.84 million respectively. Meanwhile, Arab investors recorded a buy/sell difference of EGP 2.19 million.
Blue chips headed south, except for EFG-Hermes that rallied 1.25% to EGP 16.25. Orascom Construction fell 1.01% to EGP 239, followed by Orascom Telecom 0.29% (EGP 3.38) and Commercial International Bank 0.04% (EGP 26.9).
Grand Holding was the biggest loser, plunging 6.67% to EGP 8.54. Pioneers came second 5.22% (EGP 4.72), followed by KIMA 4.41% (EGP 28.6) and Ezz Dekheila 3.32% (EGP 580).
