EGX30 drops about 1% after Mubarak Trial

At 2 p.m., EGX30 dropped 0.88%, which amounted in a yearly drop of 31.07%. On the other hand, EGX100 had dropped 0.44% at 1 p.m.

The main reason for this decline would be the trial of former Egyptian President Mohamed Hosny Mubarak and his sons Alaa and Gamal, especially their denial of all the accusations that were raised against them.

Another reason would be the trial of former Interior Minister Habib ElAdly and his accomplices.

The trial of the latter will be resumed tomorrow, 4th of August 2011, whereas the other three defendants will reappear in front of court on the 15th of August.
