Arab Contractors to bid on four Qatari projects

Arab Contractors, the Egyptian state backed construction firm, announced on Tuesday that it intends to bid in four tenders for Qatari construction projects.

The projects are part of Qatar’s preparation to host the 2022 World Cup, with one of the tenders including construction work at the Lusail City Project, the Doha based Al Arab newspaper reported, citing Ibrahim Mahlab, chairman of Arab Contractors.

The construction firm said that the bid for the tenders would be at the end of September.

Arab Contractors has worked on a number of major projects spread throughout the Middle East, including the Mussafah Port in Abu Dhabi, the Dhahran Airport in Saudi Arabia and the Qabous Port in Oman.
