Hassan Allam awards contracts for Egypt hybrid solar project

Hassan Allam Constructions signed agreements for the 258.5 MWp Nefer Benban hybrid solar and storage project at Benban Solar Park in Aswan.

The project integrates 200 MW of solar PV capacity with a 120 MWh battery energy storage system. GameChange Solar will supply its Genius Tracker system under a newly signed contract.

Sineng Electric will deliver 249 MW of central inverters, including 27 units of 8.8 MW and two units of 4.4 MW stations. Infinity Power earlier partnered with HiTHIUM Energy Storage to supply the 120 MWh BESS in January 2026. 

The project forms part of a wider 1.2 GW solar and 720 MWh storage portfolio under development in Egypt. Commercial operations are targeted for Q3 2027 following PPA agreements signed in November 2025.
