Egypt's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade have decided that ports and customs outlets will operate at full capacity every day of the year, according to a statement reported by Arab Finance.

The decision, following directives from Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, is intended to accelerate the release of shipments and goods. Operations will continue daily throughout the year, including on official holidays, with the exception of four specific days: the eve and first day of Eid El-Fitr and the eve and first day of Eid El-Adha.

The stated objective of this measure is to lower handling and storage costs, reduce financing burdens on businesses, and enhance the competitiveness of the national economy, with a focus on export-oriented industrial investment. All regulatory bodies at ports, along with banks, customs authorities, and agencies linked to the customs clearance system, are instructed to work year-round.

Export procedures are to continue 24 hours a day, while import inspections will operate until 6:00 pm daily, a schedule designed to ensure faster clearance and smoother foreign trade flows.
