Nasr Automotive registers LE 35M profit in FY2024/2025
Nasr Automotive Manufacturing Company, part of Metallurgical Industries Holding and operating under the Ministry of Public Business Sector, continues to advance its production and development efforts one year after the revival of this historic industrial icon.
The company resumed operations in November 2024 after being inactive for more than fifteen years.
For the first time in decades, Nasr Automotive has transitioned from sustained losses to profitability, recording a net profit of approximately LE 35 million during FY2024/2025.
The past year marked a significant relaunch for the company, especially within the bus manufacturing division, which underwent major upgrades across its infrastructure and production lines.
The company introduced the Nasr Sky tourist buses with a local component share of sixty-three point five percent, along with the Nasr Star minibuses, which reached a local component exceeding seventy percent.
Aligned with the state’s clean-energy strategy, preparations are also underway to launch the company’s first electric bus and electric minibus.
The passenger car plant has similarly undergone a full modernization process, incorporating advanced international production technologies.
New production prototypes are currently being tested for both Nasr Automotive and global manufacturers, signaling the plant’s growing capacity to reestablish its industrial prominence.
The company is further expanding its product lineup by developing new light-transport vehicles to meet market demand and reinforce its contribution to the national automotive sector.
These accomplishments signal the start of a new phase aimed at building a modern, competitive, and resilient Egyptian automotive industry.
The progress aligns with the ministry’s strategy to maximize the value of state-owned assets, enhance financial returns, support domestic manufacturing, increase local component rates, replace imports where possible, and create new job opportunities that strengthen the national economy.
