Hurghada International Airport has reached a significant milestone in 2025, recording the highest daily flight movements of the year. This surge in air traffic underscores the growing momentum of Egypt’s tourism sector, driven by the increasing number of international visitors flocking to the country’s popular coastal destinations. The uptick in flights reflects both the appeal of Egypt’s tourism offerings and the ongoing efforts to enhance airport infrastructure, positioning Hurghada as a key hub in the region’s travel landscape.

Flight operations on this particular day reached a total of 335 movements, marking a significant increase compared to the 289 flights recorded on the same day in 2024. This surge represents a 16% rise in flight movements and a notable 21.2% increase in passenger numbers, which grew from 43,869 last year to a higher total this year. This uptrend signals a clear recovery and expansion in the aviation sector, especially during a period when travel demand is often influenced by seasonal factors.
