Egypt FM promotes SCEZ opportunities to French companies in Paris
According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the meeting, held at the headquarters of the French Business Council, discussed ways to strengthen Egyptian-French economic cooperation and partnership, as well as increasing French investments in Egypt.
During the meeting, Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s aspiration to attract further French investments. He highlighted the successes French companies achieved in the country, particularly in national transportation projects.
The Egyptian FM also pointed to the substantial opportunities the state offers in the fields of renewable energy, green hydrogen production, ports, automobile manufacturing, communications, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence.
Abdelatty reviewed the investment incentives the state provides, its efforts to improve the business environment in recent years, and the wide-ranging economic reforms it implemented over the past period.
Additionally, he praised the notable progress in Egyptian-French ties, which culminated in elevating the relationship to the level of a strategic partnership during President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Cairo in April.
According to Abdelatty, Egypt is the third-largest destination for French investments in the Middle East.
