Subsea7 Awarded Major Offshore Contract for Saudi Aramco Project
Subsea7, a global offshore service provider to oil and gas companies, has been awarded a major contract from Saudi Aramco under a long-term agreement (LTA) to develop offshore facilities in Saudi Arabia (KSA). The contract value is estimated to be between $750 million and $1.25 billion.
The project’s scope includes the full engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of 106 km of infield and export pipelines. Additionally, the project will involve upgrades to existing topsides and related hook-up activities.
Project management and engineering will begin immediately from Subsea7’s offices in KSA and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The offshore work is scheduled for 2027 and 2028.
David Bertin, Senior Vice President for Subsea7’s Global Projects Centre East, stated that the project “reinforces our long-term strategic engagement with Aramco”. He added, “We look forward to working closely with the client to deliver this project safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards”.
Notably, the LTA between Subsea7 and Saudi Aramco is a strategic framework that pre-qualifies Subsea7 to deliver a series of offshore EPCI projects in Saudi waters. Under this agreement, Subsea7 has executed multiple projects, solidifying its role as a key partner in advancing Aramco’s offshore infrastructure while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable project delivery.
