Egypt and Belarus expand trade through exchange platform
A delegation from the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCX) has agreed with Egypt to create an electronic trading bridge to increase mutual trade turnover. The decision was made during the Belarusian-Egyptian Business Forum in Cairo. This is reported to BelTA, a partner of TV BRICS.
The parties have identified key export goods: Belarus plans to supply dairy products, feed additives, and sawn timber to Egypt. In turn, Cairo is ready to export fruit puree, juice concentrates, polymer products, and agricultural seeds.
To develop cooperation, the Belarusian Embassy in Cairo will hold educational seminars on the opportunities of exchange trading. In addition, the parties agreed to exchange analytics on the markets of the two countries. The BUTB will work with the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce to attract small and medium-sized Egyptian businesses to its platform.
The Belarusian Commodity Exchange will also be recommended to representatives of the Egyptian business community as a single window for working in the commodity market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
