Following a successful summer in the MediterraneanAroya Cruises, Saudi Arabia’s first-ever cruise line, is now preparing for its second Red Sea season. The brand’s flagship vessel, Aroya, which can accommodate 3,400 guests, will begin its new schedule of sailings from Jeddah starting 20 September. After welcoming over 20,000 travelers during its debut Mediterranean season, the ship will now offer a range of three-, four-, and five-night voyages to destinations including the exclusive private island of Jabal AlSabaya as well as Safaga and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. This marks a significant expansion for the cruise line, which officially launched in December 2024, blending Saudi-inspired design with the nation’s celebrated style of hafawa hospitality. The return to Saudi waters underscores the country’s ambition to establish itself as a leading hub in the international cruise tourism sector while providing travelers from across the region and beyond with new opportunities to explore the cultural and natural wonders of the Red Sea and the broader Middle East.

A Successful Debut in the Mediterranean

The 2025 summer program in the Mediterranean was viewed as a defining chapter for Aroya Cruises. The voyage marked the line’s first full season outside of Saudi Arabia, giving international travelers the opportunity to experience a unique style of cruising rooted in Arabian culture and traditions. Over 20,000 guests embarked on journeys through scenic European waters, demonstrating strong market demand for a cruise product that emphasizes regional authenticity combined with modern amenities.
