Egypt, Spain agree on strategic partnership for inclusive growth 2025–2030
Egypt and Spain have embarked on a landmark collaboration with the signing of the 2025–2030 Partnership for Development Agreement—the first initiative of its kind between the two nations.
The agreement underscores their joint commitment to advancing economic ties and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, explained that the program is designed to revitalize the long-standing relationship between Egypt and Spain through a modern, sustainable framework for development cooperation.
She emphasized that this initiative represents a global milestone for the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), as it is the first time the agency has launched a program of this scale with any country.
The minister noted that the partnership is built around shared challenges and agreed priorities, with action plans targeting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, food security, women’s empowerment, climate change adaptation, and improved water and sanitation systems.
