Egypt to host 3rd Global Conference on Population, Health and Human Development in November

Egypt will host the third edition of the Global Conference on Population, Health, and Human Development (PHDC’25) in the New Administrative Capital from 10 to 13 November, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the Ministry of Health announced on Saturday.

Minister of Health and Population and Deputy Prime Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the international gathering, which this year will be held under the theme “Empowering People, Advancing Progress, Expanding Opportunities.”

Ministry spokesperson Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the conference will address pressing global health challenges shaped by social determinants, with particular focus on universal health coverage, equity, demographic dynamics, fertility trends, aging, migration, and innovative solutions for sustainable development in a changing world.

The agenda will further highlight issues such as inclusive care economies, women’s empowerment, social protection, economic justice, lifelong learning, digital innovation, youth investment, and the role of culture and sports in strengthening national identity and community cohesion.
