Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din has met with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi at the Ministry’s headquarters in the Government District of the New Administrative Capital to review ongoing and future cooperation between the two ministries.

Salah El-Din highlighted joint efforts in several fields, most notably the production of prepaid gas meters. The initiative, he explained, aims to preserve state resources while promoting a culture of rational gas consumption among citizens.

He stressed that collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum aligns with the broader policy of the Ministry of Military Production to contribute to the implementation of national and developmental projects in partnership with state institutions. This approach, he said, supports Egypt’s sustainable development strategy and directly benefits citizens by leveraging the technical, technological, and manufacturing capabilities of military production companies and units.

Salah El-Din also pointed to ongoing cooperation between the two ministries on the large-scale project to convert public buses from diesel to natural gas. The initiative is being carried out under a contract signed by the Ministries of Military Production, Local Development, Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Finance, in partnership with the Public Transport Authorities of Cairo and Alexandria.
