Bim plans to open 550 new branches across Egypt by the end of 2026, bringing the total to 1,000, the company’s Türkiye Legal Director in Egypt Ihab Khalil announced. The expansion is backed by foreign direct investments estimated at around $40 million, according to media reports.

Khalil said the company has already invested $20 million of the total investment, transferred through the Central Bank of Egypt, with the remaining $20 million to be injected at the beginning of 2026.

Khalil explained that the expansion plan aims to focus on Upper Egypt governorates, noting that the company has already opened 10 new branches in Beni Suef governorate last week. This is part of the company’s strategy to expand beyond major cities and provide its services to regional communities.

He pointed out that alongside this, major logistical investments will be implemented in the upcoming phase, specifically in the 10th of Ramadan City, where the company acquired a 46,000-square-meter area to establish two logistics warehouses serving Greater Cairo and the Canal governorates, with expected investments exceeding 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($20.62 million).
