Egypt Grants Golden Licenses to 3 Strategic Projects Across Various Sectors
In a move to stimulate private-sector investment and accelerate progress toward national development goals, Egypt’s Cabinet has approved the issuance of Golden Licenses for three major projects, according to an official government statement.
The first license has been awarded to Kingdom Linen Company, which will operate under the special free zone system. The company plans to establish a linen spinning and textile factory on a 51,900-square-meter plot in the Developers Zone of Sadat City, Monufia Governorate.
Backed by an estimated investment of $58 million, the project is set for completion by January 1, 2027. Within three years of operation, the company aims to achieve a minimum 30 percent local content in its products while committing to exporting 100 percent of its annual production.
The facility is expected to produce approximately 3,800 tons of linen yarn annually, supporting Egypt’s broader export strategy in the textile sector.
The second Golden License has been granted to Al Amir Company for Agricultural Crops Processing, registered as Farouk Mahmoud Afsh & Partners, a limited partnership.
