In televised remarks on Saturday, Qersh added Egypt's agricultural export sector has witnessed significant development in recent years.
This progress is made due to decisions aimed at boosting productivity, either by expanding cultivated areas or maximizing yield per acre through modernizing and improving farming techniques.
He added Egypt’s agricultural exports used to be around 4 million tons, and they have now risen to 5.8 million tons by mid-year.
He explained that the export revenues will have a direct positive impact on the agricultural sector’s contribution to Egypt’s overall economy.
