Teaser released for the opening of Grand Egyptian Museum on July 3
The official page of the Grand Egyptian Museum published a teaser video about the museum’s grandiose official opening in on July 3, set to be attended by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and heads of state and government from around the world.
As part of the final preparations for the opening, the museum will be temporarily closed from June 15 to July 5.
During this period, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will carry out organizational and logistical work inside the museum.
The CEO of GEM Authority, Ahmed Ghoneim, confirmed that the museum is scheduled to reopen to visitors following the official opening during its official working hours, allowing visitors to enjoy the full museum experience.
The GEM has been undergoing trial operations for several of its locations since October 16. The Museum Authority also began implementing the new official opening hours for these locations in February.
