This collaboration will enable PayTabs to utilize Mastercard's extensive global network and digital payment capabilities, offering a white-labeled digital payments platform.

This initiative aims to enhance SMEs' payment acceptance capabilities, promote contactless payment adoption, and accelerate Egypt’s digital transformation efforts.

The new platform will provide SMEs with fast, secure, and cost-effective customizable solutions for accepting digital payments.

According to the statement, it will also allow merchants to generate payment links quickly, reducing the time and effort required for traditional methods.

Furthermore, the platform enables mobile users to complete payments quickly and securely.

It enhances cash flow management and reduces reliance on cash, helping integrate more businesses and customers into the formal financial system.

“This platform supports Egypt’s transition to a cashless society and enhances access to digital payments, empowering SMEs to thrive in the digital economy,” PayTabs Egypt General Manager Karim Eyada said.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Assem, country manager for Mastercard in Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq, emphasized the significance of collaboration in building robust infrastructures that benefit both businesses and consumers.

He also affirmed that the step contributes to a more inclusive and sustainable future for Egypt.
