Egypt’s food industry exports surpass US$10 billion
Egypt’s food industry has achieved a historic milestone, with exports surging by 21 per cent in 2024 to exceed US$10 billion, as reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
Prior to this, Egypt’s Chamber of Food Industries organised 46 training programmes, conducted 85 factory visits and many seminars. These efforts have trained 3,799 professionals across Egypt, supported by eight donor-funded initiatives.
Earlier, Egypt's food industry also has approved 44 new industry benchmarks and contributing to the revision of food additive regulations to align with international standards.
According to the source, Egypt has reinforced its presence in the international food market by leading delegations to key trade missions, scientific conferences, and industry exhibitions in Malaysia, Russia, the UAE, and India.
