FRA reports EGP 299bn in financing by entities under its supervision in Q4 2024
The Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) announced that total financing provided by entities under its supervision reached EGP 299bn in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024. This figure includes capital market activities and non-banking financial services.
According to the FRA’s latest report, stock issuances accounted for EGP 148.3bn, while debt instrument issuances totaled EGP 32.3bn. Leasing contracts contributed EGP 36.5bn, financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) reached EGP 28.1bn, and consumer financing amounted to EGP 19.4bn. Factoring transactions were valued at EGP 26.6bn, and mortgage loans stood at EGP 7.7bn. Additionally, movable asset registrations under the secured transactions registry reached EGP 3.1tn.
