Chilean energy firm Enap Sipetrol looks to Egypt for concessions, oil exploration
Chile’s Enap Sipetrol Company is looking towards acquiring fresh concessions in Egypt, with a focus on optimising oil and gas exploration activities, according to reports attributing Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla.
El-Molla further stated that the company is keen on augmenting production levels and injecting additional investments into Egypt’s petroleum sector.
These statements were made during a meeting between Minister El-Molla, the Chilean Ambassador to Cairo Roberto Ebert, General Manager of Enap Sipetrol Julio Friedmann, and the Chief Executive of the company’s Egyptian unit, Denisse Abudinén.
Discussions during the meeting centred on the current operational landscape of Enap Sipetrol in Egypt and its expansion strategies.
