The Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Osama Rabie, engaged in a discussion with Peter Mollema, the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Egypt, to explore opportunities for collaboration in the fields of training and green transformation.

Rabie expressed appreciation for the extensive cooperation between the SCA and the Dutch IHC shipyard, which aims to modernize the SCA's dredger fleet using cutting-edge technology.

Rabie stressed the Authority’s keenness to open new horizons for joint cooperation in various fields, especially those related to training and green transformation, in light of the Authority’s intention to declare the Suez Canal the Green Canal by 2030. He also highlighted the implementation of an ambitious business strategy that centers around enhancing the navigational services provided by the canal.

This strategy encompasses four key pillars: improving the navigational course of the canal, enhancing the maritime fleet, optimizing asset utilization, and embracing digital transformation.
