Egypt to boost economic cooperation with Germany's Bavaria

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, engaged in a meeting with Florian Herrmann, the Bavarian Minister of Federal and Media Affairs, with the aim of bolstering trade and investment cooperation between Egypt and the German state of Bavaria. 

 

Their discussion primarily focused on diversifying collaboration in specialized industries such as automotive, communications, technology, and artificial intelligence. 

 

This encounter took place during Shoukry's participation in the 60th Munich Security Conference 2024. 

 

During the meeting, the Egyptian minister highlighted the potential for cooperation in the energy sector, which holds great promise for Egypt's economy. He emphasized Egypt's status as a regional center for energy trading, production, and distribution, encompassing liquefied gas and green hydrogen.
