Egypt, Brazil strengthen ties with signing of agreements and centennial celebration

They signed MOUs for cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva witnessed the signing ceremony of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries, following their talks at the Presidential Palace in New Cairo, Egypt.

 

The signed agreements included a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation in the Federal Republic of Brazil regarding cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. The agreement was signed by Mohamed Ayman Ashour, the Minister of Higher Education, and Luciana Santos, the Minister of Technology and Innovation in Brazil.

 

Additionally, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in the Federal Republic of Brazil for the export of Brazilian meat and its products to Egypt. The protocol was signed by the Egyptian Minister of Agriculture, El-Sayed El Quseir, and the Brazilian Ambassador in Cairo, Paulino Franco de Carvalho.
