UNIDO And Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt Unite For Sustainable Finance

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt has announced its collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) through the Inclusive Green Growth in Egypt (IGGE) program. The initiative aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in sectors transitioning towards a green economy, including renewable energy, resource efficiency, sustainable agriculture, and waste management. As part of the bank’s sustainability strategy, UNIDO will provide technical support to clients, enhance the efficiency of sustainable finance staff, and assist in developing sustainable financial products. This partnership aligns with the bank’s commitment to sustainable growth and responsible investment.


CEO and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt, Mr. Ihab ElSewerky, emphasized the importance of international collaborations to expand the sustainable financing portfolio. The partnership with UNIDO aims to support SME clients, enhance their competitiveness, and contribute to the Egyptian economy’s sustainable development.


Mr. Hisham Abbas, Head of Financial Institutions and Corporate Finance, highlighted that this collaboration reinforces the bank’s capabilities to achieve a sustainable growth strategy. The partnership supports responsible investment, encourages positive impacts, and aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
