Egypt holds first public discussion on economic strategy for 2024-2030
The session tackled the policies, implementation mechanisms, and potential funding sources required to achieve the strategy, read a cabinet statement on Wednesday.
The priorities of 2024 were also thoroughly examined.
The session was attended by notable figures and organizations, including experts, professors, representatives from parliament, and delegates from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Osama El-Gohary, assistant to Egypt's prime minister and chairman of the IDSC, highlighted the extensive efforts made in developing this strategy.
“Over six months, the IDSC collaborated with 400 local and international experts in 19 workshops, resulting in a comprehensive framework consisting of 873 recommendations,” El-Gohary said.
