The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has issued 282 violation reports related to the control of markets dealing with precious metals, gold, and silver jewelry.


The total weight of illegal artifacts seized was 84,382 grams, and two cases of counterfeit stamp pens were confiscated, which included 36 pens and a means of counterfeiting stamps. Additionally, 1,150 violation reports were issued in the field of various types of weighing, measuring, and measuring devices, machines, and tools.


To strengthen control over customs ports, the Stamping Authority has signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Company for Electronic Commerce Technology (MTS). This will enable the Authority to monitor customs letters presented to the Authority in real-time at all customs ports. The aim is to tighten control over all letters and ensure that the products being shipped meet the standard specifications and that the fees imposed on them are met, to preserve the rights of the Authority.
