Oceania Cruises, a brand under the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, has announced a revamp of its 2024 Mediterranean sailings. The changes come as a strategic realignment of destinations and itineraries to ensure the safety, security and peace of mind of its passengers. This revision will affect 42 itineraries varying in duration from ten to 58 days. The changes involve four ships - Insignia, Marina, Riviera, and Vista. The revised itineraries will cover departures from Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, and Malta. This realignment has resulted in the removal of ports of call in Israel, Egypt, and Jordan. Given the current context of Israel-Gaza conflict, the cruise line considers the changes necessary to prioritise the wellbeing of its passengers. President Frank Del Rio stated this decision aims at satisfying seasoned travellers who will appreciate the efforts to combine both popular beach resorts and ancient cities full of tradition.
