Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, recently announced the completion of several significant state infrastructure projects. A total of LE 68 billion was spent on these initiatives, one of which is the Bahr al-Baqar Water Treatment Plant. This impressive new facility is twice the size of the High Dam, demonstrating Egypt's commitment to advancing its infrastructure and water treatment capabilities. Madbouly shared this information during a press conference in al-Arish, North Sinai, calling attention to the fact that Egypt has constructed the largest treatment stations in the world. International encyclopedias have acknowledged this achievement, recognizing the Bahr al-Baqar and Mahsama Water Treatment Plants for their global standing. These significant projects aim to aid development, reconstruction, and enable land reclamation across hundreds of thousands of acres in both North and Central Sinai. The government is investing LE55 billion in 19 more such projects, indicative of Egypt's commitment to continuous development and progress. The Mahsama Plant is expected to facilitate the reclamation of 50,000 acres while Bahr al-Baqar will cater for 270,000 acres. With the infrastructure in place after the completion of Bahr al-Baqar Plant, Egypt can now look forward to initiating the farming process beginning from the upcoming year. The Prime Minister concluded by reiterating the project's magnitude, stating that it is twice as big as the High Dam, and underscoring the Egyptian government’s commitment to national development and infrastructure.
