Egypt's Export Reaches $51.6B in 2022: IDSC

Exports from Egypt reached a total value of $51.6 billion in 2022, according to the IDSC. Non-petroleum exports accounted for $35.3 billion.

According to the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC), exports of Egypt reached a value of around $51.6 billion in 2022. This news was relayed during a workshop conducted at the New Administrative Capital by the executive manager of the IDSC. In the breakdown of the figures presented, it was mentioned that non-petroleum exports accounted for a significant portion of total exports, amounting to approximately $35.3 billion. The statement highlighted the significance of sectors such as agriculture and petroleum in the Egyptian export landscape, with the services sector playing substantial roles as well. The sector alone accounted for 38 percent of the total exports marking a value of $26.9 billion, with travel and transport services among the leading contributors within the segment. The increasing focus of the Egyptian government on stimulating investment across sectors was also highlighted, aiming for an annual export target of $100 billion within five years.
