Amidst a culture that glorifies steadfastness, finding time to relax can be difficult. However, Egypt features several locations that provide peaceful retreats, where visitors can unwind against the backdrop of tranquil mountains and serene sand dunes. An activity that perfectly suits these tranquil environments is camping - a recreational activity known for reducing stress. For those who prefer a blend of simple living and comfort, 'glamping'- a combination of glamour and camping - has been introduced. This new trend blends the zerosity of nature with lavish luxury, and provides a new and comfortable way to experience the enchantment of camping. Three top-rated glampsites in Egypt this fall are Remal Al Rayan, Basecamp, and Al Nyhaya. The first, located in Cairo outskirts at Al Fayyoum’s Wadi Al Rayan Protectorate, is Egypt's debut desert glampsite. Here, visitors can enjoy the serenity of Al Fayyoum’s sand dunes with spacious, air-conditioned rooms and brief excursions including safaris and sand surfing are also arranged. Basecamp, located in Il Monte Galala, serves as both an adventure park and a glamping site. It aims to foster a reconnection with nature through its hiking, rope obstacle courses and even yoga and meditation classes. The glamps there cater to luxury-seeking outdoor enthusiasts with facilities such as private bathrooms, lounging spaces, and rooms that easily welcome wheelchair users. Lastly, Siwa’s Al Nyhaya, uniquely situated amidst the dunes of the Great Sand Sea, is renowned for its bell-shaped tents equipped with heating floor platforms for colder nights. The place also provides activities and expeditions like visits to Siwa’s iconic salt lakes, the Cleopatra Spring, and guided yoga and meditation sessions.
