Gendi: We are keen on supporting cooperation between Egyptian scientists abroad

The minister said she discussed with Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar the needs of Egyptian doctors abroad.

Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendi has expressed keenness on opening horizons of cooperation between Egyptian scientists abroad and the state institutions especially in the health domains to take part effectively in serving the homeland and support national initiatives launched by the political leadership.

 

The minister’s statements came during a video link meeting with Dr Ahmed Ismail, Chairman of Queens Gynaecology Clinic in London, England, to discuss cooperation on training Egyptian medics in collaboration with the British nurses authority.

 

A statement issued by the ministry on Monday said the meeting also dealt with plans of merging Egyptian doctors abroad in the strategy of supporting Egyptian medical system and take care of Egyptians as well as promoting Egyptian medical tourism.

 

The minister said she discussed with Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar the needs of Egyptian doctors abroad, pointing out that a number of Egyptian expatriate doctors have the desire to support the national medical system.
