Twenty oil wells drilled in the Zohr field, daily production at 2.2 billion cubic feet of gas

Twenty oil wells have been drilled in the Zohr gas field while several others are currently being drilled, as the field’s production has reached 2.2 billion cubic feet of gas per day, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Petroleum Hamdi Abdel Aziz announced.

The decrease in gas production at the Zohr field is normal as all gas fields experience a natural decrease in order to maintain the reservoir and production rates, Abdel Aziz stated.

He also revealed several details about the meeting between President Sisi and CEO of Italian company Eni Claudio Descalzi, one of the largest international petroleum companies.
