Head of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Walid Gamal El-Din, revealed that the zone has received more applications from companies wishing to participate in ship bunkering operations in the ports affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone, whether with fossil fuels or green fuels, and these are scheduled to be announced soon.

“We are currently working on supplying ships with traditional fuel, and last week we conducted the first fueling operation with green methanol,” Gamal El-Din said, adding that Egypt is witnessing a recovery in maritime services after years of absence, and this will increase opportunities for factories to provide the green methanol needed to fuel ships passing through Egyptian ports.
