Egypt attaches importance to upgrading tourism, heritage cities

Minister of Local Development Hisham Amna asserted that the Egyptian government was keen on enhancing efforts for achieving sustainable development as part of its commitments to implementing the 11th objective of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) pertaining to implementing inclusive, resilient and sustainable urban development policies and practices.

Addressing the the International Mayors’ Forum on Tourism and Sustainable Cities, which is being held at Zhengzhou, China on September 4 to 6.

The forum is attended by ministers, governors, and local government leaders from various countries, as well as representatives of international organizations, such as the United Nations World Tourism Organization.
